I had an amazing shoot yesterday with local photographer Andre Goulet. He studied under two masters in photography, one, the master of the head shot, and the other, the master of the composite.
The great thing about photographers, when they know I’m interested in photography, is on every shoot I go to they teach me something new. So not only am I performing, I’m learning more and more every shoot.
Andre confessed to reading my entire blog in one sitting, and I couldn’t be more proud or flattered. He professed to feeling a broad spectrum of emotions including humor, sadness, and anger. From that he managed to connect with me on a level few photographers have seen. He pulled out some emotions from me that normally I’m too controlled and restricted in front of the camera to allow. But I did it, and by god the raws in the camera alone were stunning, I can’t wait to see what he makes with them. Until then, here’s a teaser for you. Just a simple, yet lovely, head shot.
