Gone are the days of gluing that stupid strip of lashes to your eyelids! Hooray!

Eyelash extensions are relatively new, been around for about 10yrs or so after starting up in Hollywood. Naturally, trends like this trickle down the artist grapevine and it makes it’s way to our hometowns!

If you’re anything like me, you’re not the best at doing your makeup. Not that I’m bad, I’m just no comparison to a makeup artist. When you start doing photo shoots, a good make up artist is worth their weight in gold (as are the rest of your styling team! Hair, nails, lashes)
I met my lash technician 4 months ago and have been dying to get mine done but just never really knew what to expect… Well here it is:

I went to the BB loft (BOMBAY BEAUTY LOFT) in Calgary Friday evening. Was offered an amazing coffee while I waited for Jess to finish with her other client.

She was very punctual and professional, but at the same time it was like having make overs with your best friend, and in my experience these are the best people to have on your “pretty me” team. People who care will always have your best interests at heart… And will always make you look KILLAH

I lied down and Jess taped my lower lids shut, then my upper lid as well but keeping my lash line exposed. She then (from what I felt) proceeded to glue on the extensions.

After about an hour or so you feel your gigantic lashes being fluffed by a little brush (which you get to keep! I love freebies!) and then she takes the tape off and you try to open your eyes…

And TAADAA! It’s like being born a beauty queen.

Today when I woke up for my photo shoot it only took me 20mins to get ready, I had no flakes or running mascara, just gorgeous, big, bold, beautiful eyelashes.

My best friends who modelled alongside me today we both in awe of them and desperately want sets too!

They stay on forever! (I was modelling in the wind today!) and I go back for a “fill” (just like you do with your nails) in 3-4 wks
