Our family has suffered another tragedy today.
The oldest grandchild of the Clarke family passed away during surgery this afternoon.
Dawn Catherine Robinson was Born December 9,1982 she passed away today, April 30,2014 at the young age of 31.
We spent a lot of our childhood together, even went to school together in Kirkby Stephen for a short time. Her, Hannah (her sister) and I were like the 3 musketeers. We did everything together. Jumping off hay bales in the hay loft, feeding the calves at 5am. Playing hide and seek in the barn. We’d reenact the dance scenes from dirty dancing over and over, and get up early as ever to watch Captain Planet on Saturdays.
I remember the time we went skinny dipping in the beck and Chris (my brother) and Hannah (her sister) stole our clothes and we had to walk back in our underwear and bare feet through fields filled with sheep and cow shit.
When we got older our mission in life as teenagers was to get as drunk as humanly possible, and we did at grandmas and would stumble up and down the highway next to the house singing at the top of our lungs. We even lit the highway on fire at one point… It’s a long story!
She was always very real, with a good sarcastic British sense of humour.
She met a wonderful farmer named Malcolm Harrison and made a beautiful little son named Luke.
I haven’t seen her since the big falling out 6yrs ago and for that I’m deeply sorry. My most heartfelt wishes go to her mother, her sisters, her husband Malc, and her young son Luke. My heart breaks again today for the sorrow felt throughout the family. Rest in peace my dear cousin, I’ll always love you.
Photos below:
The bride maid photos dawn is the blue bridesmaid on the left, I’m the blue bridesmaid on the right. Her sister Hannah is between us.
In the family photo I’m sat in the centre on the floor, dawn next to me camera right.
Two photos of us outside my parents house. Dawns wearing the shirt that says “you’d better buy me another drink you’re still ugly!” Lol
One of us drinking at the wedding. I’m cheersing the camera and dawns laughing in the front. My cousin Skye is dipping over to the corner to hide from the camera and her brother lance is looking dapper in the background. Her sister Hannah is smiling in the back.
Lastly the one is of us on holiday at morcombe bay. I’m the one looking ditzy in the middle, dawns to my camera right, and my brother is having a blast in the corner.
I’ll always love you and miss you. I hope heaven is beautiful and peaceful as you deserve nothing less.
Goodbye darling xoxxo
